Children of William and Louise Schaefer^[14a] were:

i. Melton May SCHAEFER⁵(William⁴,William³,Wilhelm²,Gerd Heinrich¹) died young about 1910 and is buried in Temple, Texas, USA.

ii. Adrian SCHAEFER⁵(William⁴,William³,Wilhelm²,Gerd Heinrich¹) was born 14 Feb 1911 and died 19 Jul 1911. He is buried in the Ebenezer Lutheran Church Cemetery, Berlin, Washington County, Texas, USA.

iii. Irene SCHAEFER⁵(William⁴,William³,Wilhelm²,Gerd Heinrich¹) was born 27 Feb 1914 in Washington County, Texas, USA and died 9 Mar 2008 in Conroe, Montgomery County, Texas, USA. (obit) She married James Willie WILLINGHAM who was born 03 Aug 1909 in Brenham, Washington County, Texas, USA. He died 27 Dec 1988 in Conroe, Montgomery County, Texas, USA.  Willie and Irene are both buried in the Prairie Lea Cemetery, Brenham, Washington County, Texas, USA. Their children, grand-children, great-grand-children and great-great-great-grandchildren are still living in May 2009.

iv. Mildred SCHAEFER⁵(William⁴,William³,Wilhelm²,Gerd Heinrich¹) was born 02 Oct 1916 in Washington County, Texas, USA. She died 15 or 16 Sep 1998 in Katy, Harris County, Texas, USA and is buried in the Prairie Lea Cemetery, Brenham, Washington County, Texas, USA. She married twice. She married first to Jack LYONS and second to George MCGRAY who died and is buried in Orange, Texas, USA. Mildred left no issue. (obit)

v. Louise Mae SCHAEFER⁵(William⁴,William³,Wilhelm²,Gerd Heinrich¹) was born 11 Sep 1923 [1,2,3] in Brenham, Washington County, Texas, USA[1,2]. She died 17 Jan 1997[3],about 3:00 P.M. in Houston, Harris County, Texas, USA and was buried 21 Jan 1997 [3] with her last husband in the Houston National Cemetery [3], Section L Site 1709[3], Houston, Harris County, Texas, USA. She married twice, first to Unknown UNKNOWN and second to Freddie Frank MITCHELL (obit) who was born21 Sep 1919 [4,5] in Texas [7].  He joined the United States Army on 29 Jan 1942 served WWII.as PVT [6]  He was in the National Guard (Officers, Warrant Officers, and Enlisted Men)[6].  He died 22 Mar 1987 [4,5] and was buried 24 Mar 1987 [4] , section L Site 1709 [4]  in the Houston National Cemetery, Houston, Harris County, Texas, USA [4].

• According to Louise Hold Schaefer before her death, she and William eloped. Her parents gave her permission to go on vacation by train to Galveston with her older sister Emma and husband, but her father didn't know William was going along.
