He had light blue eyes, dark brown hair, and was tall with a small build.[14a]He married Minnie DEVEREAUX. She was born 08 Dec 1879[16,17] in Texas. She died 13 Nov 1950[17,18] in Texas of heart failure and is buried in the Union Springs Church Cemetery next to her husband. Minnie was the daughter of John C. Devereaux[16] and Louisa Tarver. NOTE: Date of birth from cemetery headstone and draft registration Sep 12, 1918. Don't know which is right. He might have lied on the registration.
