3. Jeremiah Greenwood CARRINGTON2(Walker1), a man of noble character, his word being the equivalent of his bond was born 12 Mar 1841[1] in North Carolina[2] or Tennessee, USA[3]. He was known in Prescott Arkansas as "Green" [4] and "Jerry" [5].  Jeremiah Greenwood Carrington was an Alderman for the city of Prescott from 1891 to 1896. [6]  He was too young to join the Army during the Civil War as he was only 16.  He drove a stagecoach from Washington to Union County.  

He married 1st in Tennessee, USA to Elizabeth Annie MONTGOMERY3(David2Andrew1). She was born 20 Dec 1845[7] in Arkansas and died 11 Jul 1901[7,8] in Arkansas.  She is buried in the DeAnn Cemetery (old section), Nevada County, Arkansas, USA, USA.  A family member says after the death of Jewel Carrington Annie grieved herself to death. 

Jeremiah married 2nd 5 Feb 1902[9] to Clara Lenora HIGHTOWER  who was born 07 Oct 1872[10] in Opelousas, Louisiana[11] and died 14 Jun 1966[12] in LaMarque, Galveston County, Texas, USA. She is buried in Grace Memorial Park (obit) in Hitchcock, Galveston County, Texas, USA.

Jeremiah Greenwood Carrington died 09 Jul 1920 in Hempstead County, Arkansas, USA after a lingering illness from paralysis (obit)A family member says he died in Hope, Arkansas, USA.  He is buried in the DeAnn Cemetery (old section), Nevada County, Arkansas, USA.

John Montgomery CARRINGTON3(Jeremiah2Walker1) was born 17 Nov 1870 in Arkansas. He died 23 Sep 1933 in Arkansas after becoming overheated (obit) and is buried in the DeAnn Cemetery (new section), Nevada County, Arkansas, USA. He married Anna Helena MONSON died in 1933 (obit).

Thomas Floyd was married twice: first to married 07 Jan 1910 in Prescott, Arkansas, USA to Ruth Lorana Dell SMITH and divorced. He married second Ethel DOUGEN.

Theodore Clifford "Ted" CARRINGTON3(Jeremiah2Walker1) was born 20 Aug 1904 in Arkansas and died Feb 1989 in California. He married late 1920's or early 1930's to Pauline "Polly" TERRY who is still living.  He had two sons, still living.

William Bartley "Red" CARRINGTON3(Jeremiah2Walker1) was born 06 Sep 1907 in Arkansas and died 29 Nov 1971 at Veterans Hospital, in Houston, Harris Co., Texas, USA. He married Beth LARGENT.   He was in the United States Naval Service as a Shipfitter, second class and was discharged from the U.S. Naval Hospital, New River, NC 21 Oct 1943. See note. Annie Laura CARRINGTON3(Jeremiah2Walker1) was born 08 Sep 1909 Arkansas and died 1970 in Texas. She married three times; first to Maurice C. MOCK, second to Isaac JACKSON, and third to Emmet D. Knox who was born 1903 and died 1962 of Colon Cancerin Corrigan, Polk County, Texas, USA. He is buried in the Union Springs Cemetery, Polk Co., Texas, USA.  (Probably named after Jeremiah's first wife Annie)

Hilliard Walker "Sonny Boy" CARRINGTON3(Jeremiah2Walker1) was born 28 Jun 1911 in Arkansas and died 14 Dec 1915 in Arkansas when he fell into boiling water (obit) . He is buried in the De Ann Cemetery, Prescott, AR [note] (Probably named after Clara's brother Hilliard, if she had one by that name and Jeremiah's father Walker)

Opal Gertrude CARRINGTON3(Jeremiah2Walker1) was born 08 Dec 1914 in Prescott, Nevada County, Arkansas, USA and died died of Colon Cancer 05 Aug 1981 in Dickenson, Galveston County, Texas, USA (obit).
She married 25 Mar 1933 in Polk County, Texas, USA to Albert Lurenza "Buster"  JACKSON who was born 24 Sep 1906 in Diboll, Angelina County, Texas, USA. He died 27 Nov 1967 in LaMarque, Galveston, County, Texas, USA (obit).
